The Economic Development Commission (EDC) held a Regular Meeting at 8:00 am on November 7, 2018 in the Meeting Hall of the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall.~

Approval of Minutes:~
William O’Meara provided feedback on the October 3 meeting minutes. Justin will revise the minutes for the next meeting.
2. Update on CERC Proposal
First Selectwoman, Bonnie Reemsnyder provided the commission with an update on the CERC proposal. Bonnie stated that the Board of Selectman voted to approve phase 1 of the CERC proposal, and she intends to add the topic to the agenda of the next Town Meeting. The Board of Finance still needs to approve the funding.
3. Old Business:
- Inviting Guests to Next Meeting: No update this meeting
- Update on Sound View project (Greg): No update this meeting
- Update on 156 Bikeway Development (Justin): No new information at this time. Justin needs to gain access to existing documents related to this project. The project is generally on hold for the time being and will be suggested to CERC in later phases of their work.
- Real Estate Update: No update this meeting
- Halls Road Improvement Project: Howard provided an update on the Halls Rd. Improvement project. He stated that the committee is very interested and supportive of CERC’s assistance.
4. New Business:
- First Selectwoman, Bonnie Reemsnyder, suggested that the EDC consider scheduling a tour of the town’s industrial park to get to know the local business owners in this area.
- Bonnie also suggested that the EDC attend the Chamber of Commerce business breakfasts, if possible, and consider discussing the CERC proposal if the proposal is approved by the Board of Finance and the town.
